Emergency services were called to a beauty spot at Walmley in Sutton Coldfield today, September 27. A police cordon was in place after a woman's body was discovered.
Officers remained at the scene, near Hermitage Drive, this morning. Residents in the area reported seeing the woman's body being taken away in a private ambulance this afternoon.

Ambulance confirms woman's body found
West Midlands Ambulance has confirmed a woman's body was found at Stephens Pond this morning.
A spokeswoman said: "On arrival we discovered one female patient. It quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene."

Multiple witnesses report seeing a body
A body was reportedly removed from the scene this afternoon, according to witnesses.
West Midlands Ambulance Service is yet to confirm the reports.
Cordon removed
The police cordon which ran around Stephens Pond has been removed. A private ambulance has left the scene.
'Police knocked on my door'
Linda Martindale of Hermitage Drive, who has lived in the road for 18 years, said: "It happened between 5am and 8am. The police knocked on my door at 9.30am, but I had been asleep and hadn't heard anything.
The 73-year-old added: "There were three ambulances and a police 4x4. It's quite peaceful around here. It's upsetting to see this."
Resident 'shocked' by incident
Springfield Crescent resident, Adrian Keeley, told our reporter he saw the police cordon while out for a run.
The 56-year-old said: "I run past here normally on weekdays. I saw it was cordoned off at the bottom. It's quite shocking really.
"The only way you'd come up here is if you had a specific reason."
Ambulance crews in attendance
Crews from West Midlands Ambulance Service were spotted at the scene this morning.
