Trước đó, trong kỳ thi tốt nghiệp THPT năm 2022, dù tổng điểm các môn thi tốt nghiệp THPT năm 2022 rất cao nhưng em H.N.T., học sinh Trường THPT chuyên Phan Ngọc Hiển, TP Cà Mau, tỉnh Cà Mau, vẫn trượt tốt nghiệp do bài thi môn Tiếng Anh bị điểm 0. Em H.N.T. cho hay trong buổi thi môn tiếng Anh, sau khi nhận đề, em làm nháp vào tờ đề, với khoảng hơn 40 câu mất khoảng 15 - 20 phút. Sau đó thí sinh này mệt quá nên em gục xuống bàn và không hay biết gì nữa. Tới lúc nghe giám thị yêu cầu nộp bài thì thí sinh này tỉnh dậy và chưa kịp điền vào tờ trả lời trắc nghiệm. Em đã xin giám thị cho vài phút để điền đáp án nhưng không được đồng ý vì sai quy chế.
Sau khi báo chí thông tin về trường hợp đáng tiếc này, nhiều ý kiến bày tỏ sự tiếc nuối cho thí sinh này. Đồng thời đặt câu hỏi về việc giám thị đã làm hết trách nhiệm hay chưa bởi khi thấy thí sinh ngủ gục trong giờ làm bài thi phải nhắc nhở các em dậy làm bài.
"Trường hợp thí sinh không phải gục xuống vì buồn ngủ mà vì bệnh tật thì giám thị vẫn không gọi các em hay sao? Các giám thị như vậy là quá cứng nhắc"- một chuyên gia giáo dục lên tiếng.
Trong khi đó, chia sẻ với báo chí, ông Phạm Việt Hưng, Trưởng điểm thi Trường THPT chuyên Phan Ngọc Hiển, TP Cà Mau, cho hay không trực tiếp ở phòng thi, nhưng sau đó đã trao đổi với giám thị thì được biết tới giờ thu bài, thí sinh này chưa làm câu nào trên tờ giấy thi. "Giám thị không thể nhắc nhiều lần vì làm như thế sẽ ảnh hưởng các em khác đang tập trung làm bài" - ông Hưng nói thêm.
