Ngày 24/8, Việt Nam ghi nhận 3.591 ca Covid-19. Đây là ngày có số ca mắc mới cao nhất tại nước ta trong hơn 3,5 tháng qua. Trong ngày có 2 bệnh nhân tử vong, 146 bệnh nhân nặng đang điều trị.
Bộ Y tế cuối giờ chiều 24/8 thông tin, tổng số ca Covid-19 ở Việt Nam đã lên tới gần 11,4 triệu ca, đứng thứ 12/227 quốc gia và vùng lãnh thổ.
Nếu tính tỷ lệ ca nhiễm/1 triệu dân, con số này ở Việt Nam là 114.834, đứng thứ 112/227.
Theo Bộ Y tế, hiện có 146 ca nặng đang điều trị. Trong ngày hôm nay có tiếp 2 bệnh nhân Covid-19 tử vong tại Tây Ninh. Đếnnay, Việt Nam ghi nhận hơn 43.100 ca tử vong, chiếm 0,4% so với tổng ca nhiễm.
Về tiến độ tiêm vắc xin Covid-19, tổng số liều vắc xin đã được tiêm là hơn 255,13 triệu liều, riêng ngày 23/8 có hơn nửa triệu liều được tiêm cho các nhóm tuổi. Trong hơn 255 triệu liều đã tiêm có hơn 218,3 triệu liều tiêm cho người từ 18 tuổi trở lên, hơn 22 triệu liều tiêm cho trẻ từ 12 - 17 tuổi và 14,73 triệu liều tiêm cho trẻ từ 5 đến dưới 12 tuổi.
Riêng với nhóm trẻ từ 5 đến dưới 12 tuổi có hơn 9 triệu trẻ đã tiêm mũi 1, hơn 5,7 triệu trẻ đã tiêm mũi 2.
Theo Bộ Y tế, tình hình dịch Covid-19 đang có chiều hướng gia tăng số ca mắc trên thế giới và tại Việt Nam. Trong nước ghi nhận sự xuất hiện các biến thể phụ mới của biến thể Omicron (BA.4, BA.5, BA.2.74, BA.2.12.1) với khả năng lây nhanh.
Số ca mắc đang có xu hướng tăng trở lại, ca nặng, nguy kịch cũng tăng rõ rệt tại các bệnh viện. Bộ Y tế khẳng định tiếp tục theo dõi chặt chẽ tình hình dịch, nhất là sự xuất hiện của các biến thể mới của SARS-CoV-2, thường xuyên đánh giá, phân tích tình hình và các yếu tố nguy cơ...
Tiếp tục tăng cường chỉ đạo đẩy nhanh hơn nữa tiến độ tiêm vắc xin Covid-19 bảo đảm an toàn, khoa học, hiệu quả; chỉ đạo đẩy mạnh việc vận động, khuyến khích người dân tham gia tiêm đầy đủ, đúng lịch cũng là nhiệm vụ quan trọng.
