Hai ngày nay, miền Bắc mưa giông vào chiều tối, vùng núi mưa to do ảnh hưởng của rãnh thấp có trục ngang qua khu vực. Chỉ từ 16h đến 17h hôm nay, Hà Giang, Lào Cai mưa to, tại Linh Hồ 40 mm, Quan Hồ Thẩn 35 mm.
Trung tâm Dự báo Khí tượng Thủy văn quốc gia nhận định, đêm nay và ngày mai (1/8) miền Bắc tiếp tục mưa giông, phổ biến 20-50 mm, có nơi trên 70 mm. Mưa sẽ duy trì đến hết ngày 2/8, hai ngày sau đó giảm và đến 5/8 lại tăng dần.

Giữa và nam biển Đông (gồm cả vùng biển quần đảo Trường Sa), vùng biển từ Bình Định đến Cà Mau, Cà Mau đến Kiên Giang và vịnh Thái Lan có mưa giông mạnh. Trong mưa giông có khả năng xảy ra lốc xoáy và gió giật cấp 7-8.
Theo cơ quan khí tượng, do ảnh hưởng của La Nina, nắng nóng ở Bắc Bộ, Trung Bộ không gay gắt và kéo dài như năm 2021. Tháng 8 khả năng xuất hiện nắng nóng với nhiệt độ cao nhất ngày trên 37 độ C, xác suất 70-80%.
