Queues of traffic on M4 near Prince of Wales bridge after crash
There was heavy traffic westbound on the M4 at Newport on Sunday due to a crash between the Coldra and Caerleon. The collision happened at around 8am and the road from junctions 24 to 25 was closed until 4.45pm while accident investigation work takes place.
The eastbound service between junctions 26 and 24 were also affected earlier in the day but reopened earlier in the afternoon. Motorists were diverted to the A48 Southern Distributor Road through Newport which was causing congestion on surrounding routes.
